Recreationally speaking, Hudson Bay offers a wide assortment of facilities, programs and organizations to meet the needs of sport, culture and recreational enthusiasts alike.

The Town of Hudson Bay and Rural Municipality of Hudson Bay No. 394, have citizen appointed committees whose responsibilities are to facilitate and enable the development of leisure activities for the urban and rural residents of the community. Over $250,000 are spent annually by the Town to operate their recreation and cultural services budget.

Located in the heart of the Town of Hudson Bay is a multi-purpose area housing a large number of the community's recreation facilities which incorporate a creative playground, two fenced tennis courts, two minor ball diamonds, a football field, a passive park area which includes horseshoe pits and a lawn bowling area, and the indoor artificial ice skating arena and a twenty-five meter heated outdoor swimming pool. The four sheet, artificial ice curling arena provides a wide range of curling activities over a six month season.

Another major facility is the Recreation Complex. Built in 1977, the Complex houses the Town's Administration offices, meeting rooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a 500 seat auditorium which is also equipped to handle a variety of sporting activities.

Located two kilometers south of Hudson Bay is the Regional Park. The Park offers a variety of scenic and recreational opportunities. A nine-hole, grass-green golf course, three ball diamonds, a shooting range, a horse racing track, nature trails, a serviced campground area complete with showers, and a children's play-park including a mist tunnel and trampoline.

Additional Community recreational facilities include a four-lane bowling alley and a friendship center which provides activities and meeting place for the senior citizens of our Community.

Situated 10 kilometers north of Hudson Bay is Ruby Lake. The area includes a public beach, ball diamonds, camping facilities, a boating area, and private cottages.

From a tourism perspective, Hudson Bay is very active as a destination point. For years, hunters, fishermen and outdoor enthusiasts alike from all over Canada and the United States have visited our Community and utilized the natural beauty which surrounds us.

In terms of a genuine tourist attraction, Hudson Bay boasts a Heritage Park. The concept of the Park is to recreate the Town of Hudson Bay as it existed circa 1909. The Park is located at the junction of Provincial Highways No. 3 and No. 9.
