Hudson Bay is happy to announce the opening of the new K-12 Hudson Bay Community School. Construction began in 2013 and the school was complete and opened in September 2015. The new state of the art facility houses grades K-12 and a Daycare. The project cost was over $27 million, with almost $500,000 raised by the community and residents of Hudson Bay.
The new school provides a state of the art learning facility for grades K-12. There are 23 teachers and 9 associates on staff. A daycare is also available within the school with room for infants, this has expanded the Hudson Bay Daycare into two locations in the community.
The local sponsorship helped increase the size of the school along with additions to the facility and playground. The school is over 50,000 sq ft and is a two story facility. The school includes 2 gyms, one of which has seating for 400 people. There are 17 classrooms and 2 project rooms. The design of the school is very unique and local supplies were used in the decor to make it a source of community pride for many years to come.
